Sandhya Pattathil

Hi!! I'm Sandhya, an upcoming artist of 21, from Bangalore. I recently rediscovered my passion for art after having been disconnected from it for a while. For me art is a way to capture, experience and enjoy the magnificence and subtlety of the ever enigmatic and entrancing universe and existence. Art also helps me comprehend and convey the complicated emotions I experience.  In my work, I mostly use graphite and watercolors but I also dabble in colored pencils, oils and acrylics. Basically I'm willing to explore any medium as each medium offers a unique and exquisite experience of its own. I mostly draw my inspiration from nature and most of my pieces deal with plant and animal life. I also try to capture the splendor of the sky in my pieces if I can because the sky is incomprehensibly infinite and gives me a sense of meaning and happiness and makes me want to explore and investigate the meaning of it all. Each piece of art is as unique as the observers that observe it and my hope is not to make people see in my artwork what I see but something that can ignite emotions that they can find pleasantly surprising or can revive sweet memories lost and unknown or basically just something that makes them feel happy to exist and give them a unique and enjoyable experience of their own.
